Tarospan is committed to building and maintaining a safe working environment for its staff and subcontractors. The company’s approach goes further to achieving safety objectives with a zero-harm philosophy. We proactively foster a safe working environment and prioritize the wellbeing of our employees, not forgetting the communities within our areas of operation as well as the environment in which we operate.
We are committed to complying with all Health & Safety legislations and regulations that regulate the construction industry in South Africa. We provide intensive ongoing training to employees to ensure they are informed of the full extent of their safety and health obligations. We also ensure that we regularly review and update our Health & Safety procedures and processes to ensure continual improvement thereof.
Environment
The management of Tarospan emphasizes environmental awareness to all its staff and subcontractors at all times. We are always aware of the impact our projects may have on the environment and, as a result, implement programmes and policies to minimize adverse effects focusing on construction methods and materials that allow for a ‘greener’ project construction processes. We also conform to all clients’ environmental management plans to ensure the impact of our activities on the environment is maintained within the specified guidelines.
Quality
Tarospan has developed an inhouse Quality Management Plan (QMS) which is in line with ISO 9001:2000. We regularly ensure that our staff, undergo training that shall raise our performance and quality standards that will exceed our Clients’ expectations. We take pride in all we do and believe in “Doing it right the first time!” philosophy.
